Interesting!

While on maternity leave, I have gotten into the habit of watching Canada AM every day. I enjoy the little tidbits that they do and I feel a little more sophisticated since I'm keeping up with the news! Anyways, today they talked about "neuroeconomics". Scientists have found that certain parts of the brain react differently when someone is about to spend. Also, people are more likely to spend twice as much if paying with a credit card rather than with cash. On their site, there is also the idea of craving to spend. "Credit cards actually create a craving, that when you actually touch the plastic, it's like smelling cookies baking when you're hungry. You have to satisfy that craving". Interesting! I thought that my cravings for salty foods was silly! Hey, I bet that this new craving isn't that fattening!!! Just my crazy thoughts for today!
